Scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must participate in at least two Music Department performance ensembles per semester, one of which will be assigned by the department through consultation with the advisor and ensemble directors.
  • Must receive instruction in your primary applied area by a member of the Humboldt Music Faculty.
  • Must maintain satisfactory performance in studio lessons and ensembles.

To apply for scholarships, please sign into your portal page.

  • Under the heading "Financial Matters Quick Links" you will find the link to the scholarship application page.
  • Follow the instructions for completing the general application.
  • Once you complete your general application, you will be matched to any scholarships for which you immediately qualify. Please note that qualifying does not guarantee you will receive a scholarship.

As part of the application process for incoming and transfer students, you will be asked to upload files of two contrasting audio/video examples of your playing. Accompaniment of your playing/singing is welcome but not required. (Please contact the music department if you have trouble uploading your recordings.)
